HEMATITE

Hematite:
Silver-gray metallic. (High iron, mercury) One of the most grounding of all stones . Condenses  confusion into mental clarity, concentration, memory, practicality, helps study, bookkeeping, detail work, sound sleep. Confidence, will power, boldness. Egyptians used it to calm hysteria and anxiety. Helps us adjust to being physical. Spleen, blood, cleanse. Helps jet lag.   This semi precious gem is known as black gold in Alaska. 

Ancient Egyptians used hematite as ornamental objects placed inside their tombs.   From the red hematite a red ochre was used by prehistoric artists in their cave paintings. Now a days hematite is also used as a polishing powder or a paint pigment.
 The black hematite is found naturally shiny.
